What's New in La Plagne Winter 2024/2025

In just a few weeks, we’ll be kicking off a new winter season in La Plagne. To celebrate, check out all the new features our beautiful resort has to offer! From Aérolive to ski area upgrades and unique events, we’ll explain everything in detail...

For the 2024-2025 winter season, La Plagne introduces several exciting new features:

Aérolive: This new immersive experience is a first for the resort. Skiers will ride in an open cable car over the glaciers, harnessed for safety, experiencing a direct connection with the natural elements and breathtaking views up to 3,080 meters above sea level. This concept is available in both summer and winter, providing an unprecedented panoramic view of the Alps.

New Infrastructure and Improved Access: La Plagne is also advancing infrastructure projects, such as replacing certain ski lifts to streamline access to the slopes, enhance the skier experience, and reduce the resort's environmental footprint. By December 2025, a new cable car to Roche de Mio will be available, including a new mid-station at Col de Forcle. Construction began in spring 2024 and will be completed before the 2025/2026 winter season. Each cabin will accommodate up to 10 passengers and offer a 7-minute ride to Roche de Mio.

Picnic Areas: To further enhance the guest experience, La Plagne has installed heated picnic areas at high altitudes. The "Lounge" area at the top of Roche de Mio is a warm, light-filled space with comfortable, modern furniture, ideal for cold or rainy days. Bonus: the breathtaking view of the peaks alone is worth the stop! Two additional picnic areas, called "La Pause," will also be available at high-altitude locations, featuring tables, chairs, and phone charging stations.

Special Activities and Events: The 2024-2025 season will expand the range of winter activities and include festivals like the Xplore Alpes Festival, which combines winter sports with cultural experiences, strengthening La Plagne’s appeal for mountain enthusiasts and unique winter entertainment. A new event, the "Mega Bell Race," will take place from April 14 to 19, 2025. This unique race will feature five fun yet challenging events, with program details to be released soon.

These innovations reflect La Plagne's commitment to modernizing its infrastructure while creating sustainable, immersive mountain experiences.
