What is a unilateral promise to purchase?

Otherwise called the offer to purchase, the promise of unilateral purchase, aligns the buyer and the seller. It corresponds to the offer price from the buyer after viewing the property.  The price is agreed for a defined period, but this is no guarantee that the property will be sold to the purchaser.
